Wellington Art Society Signature Membership (WASSM)

Signature Membership is a widely recognized honor offered in most major art organizations. It is the highest honor that may be bestowed on our members. Artists who have acheived “WASSM” status may include the Wellington Art Society’s initials (W.A.S.) after their signatures on their artwork.

To attain WASSM status, an individual must meet the following prerequisites AND earn 25 points by completing certain achievements listed below:

Prerequisites:

• Have been a WAS member in good standing for at least three (3) consecutive years.

• Attended six (6) Membership Meetings or more per year for at least three (3) consecutive years

25 Cumulative Points Required for Achieving Recognition and Pin:

• Artwork was accepted into a WAS Municipal Art Show - 1 point per piece

• Sold artwork at a WAS-sponsored Art Show - 1 point per piece

• Participated as vendor in a WAS Boutique or other WAS Sales Event (e.g., Pop-up Gallery, Earth Day, etc.) - 1 point per instance

• Presented or completed a demo at a WAS Membership Meeting (Max. once per year) - 2 points per instance

• Accepted into any juried art show outside of WAS. (Must provide proof of acceptance) 1 point per instance
